Kentucky-Style Beef & Cornbread Bake
A cozy, Southern-inspired dish made with Laura’s Lean 92% ground beef, topped with golden cornbread and finished with a simple butter melt. Perfect for Derby weekend or an easy family dinner.
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 6)
• 1 lb Laura’s Lean 92% ground beef
• 1/2 cup onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup corn (frozen or canned)
• 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
• 2 tbsp soy sauce (or Worcestershire)
• 1 tsp paprika
• Salt + pepper to taste
Cornbread Topping:
• 1 cup cornmeal mix (or cornbread mix)
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 tbsp butter (plus extra for topping)
🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a pan, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
- Stir in corn, BBQ sauce, soy sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer beef mixture into a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix cornbread ingredients.
- Pour cornbread batter over the beef mixture.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Add butter on top while warm and let it melt before serving.
