  • 6 Siete Foods tortillas
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Instructions

1. Season the Fish

Pat the fish dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with chili powder, cumin, kosher salt, and black pepper.

2. Cook the Fish

Heat a little oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned fish and cook for approximately 5–10 minutes total, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through. The fish should reach an internal temperature of 145°F.

3. Make the Creamy Lime Sauce

In a small bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, and optional hot sauce. Mix until smooth and creamy. Adjust the lime juice to your preference.

4. Prepare the Fresh Salsa

Combine chopped tomatoes, onions, garlic, cilantro, and lime juice. Season with salt and pepper. Toss everything together.

5. Prep the Toppings

Shred the cabbage, slice the avocado, thinly slice the radishes, and chop the cilantro.

6. Assemble the Fish Tacos

Warm the tortillas in a skillet. Add the cooked fish, shredded cabbage, fresh tomato salsa, avocado, and radishes.

Drizzle with creamy lime sauce and finish with fresh cilantro.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips for the Best Homemade Fish Tacos

Choose your favorite white fish. Cod, tilapia, and halibut all work well. Choose firm, fresh fillets for easy cooking.

Don’t skip the cabbage. It adds that fresh crunch that balances the seasoned fish and creamy sauce.

Make the sauce ahead. You can prepare the lime sauce earlier in the day and refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve.

Warm your tortillas. A quick warm-up in a skillet makes them softer and easier to fold.

Make It Your Own

The best thing about taco night is that everyone can build their tacos however they like. Add extra lime, more hot sauce, or pile on the avocado.

And if you have leftover fish, it’s great over a fresh salad the next day.
